Fundamental Edge is a buyside analyst training firm, founded by Brett Caughran, condensing years of “learning by osmosis” into a buyside analyst masterclass

Our programs focus on investment research. modeling discipline, accounting rigor, structured research processes, and long-term thinking. We serve professionals who want to raise their standards.

OUR MISSION:

We equip high achieving buyside professionals with the frameworks and tools they need to accelerate their performance and navigate the intense demands of a career on the buyside.

We do this by building the programs we wish we had as young, inexperienced buyside analysts.. We help world class buyside firms improve and optimize the performance of their most important asset: their people.

Some roles are instructor-facing. Others focus on model review, curriculum refinement, and raising the technical bar across our programs.

    Part-Time | Remote | Travel for In-Person Engagements

    Fundamental Edge is hiring a Modeling Instructor to help build and deliver our Modeling Academy, launching in Q2 2026. This program is built by investors, for investors, and focuses on how public equity and credit analysts build, audit, and use models in real-world institutional settings.

    Fundamental Edge is building out its capabilities in financial accounting instruction and is looking for an established professor to join the team on a part-time basis. As we expand, we are looking for someone who can bring academic rigor to the accounting foundations that every fundamental equity and credit analyst relies on daily.
